Does Scalio Restaurant hire Seniors Part time as a busser. Have restaurant and retail experience. Two year college degree.?
Great menu.....Kyanna was awesome
Scalo is a great example of a touch above the competition, here in Albuquerque. This is a town in which there is plenty of variety, but limited choices exist for something a bit nicer. Scalo has a small, but focused menu. Everything they serve has obviously been well crafted by people who understand food. The "filetto" (beef filet) was prepared perfectly. The Caesar salad I ordered was very fresh, and the combination of ingredients created a fantastic flavor profile that put it above basically any other Caesar salad. The service was great and the sphere was very enjoyable.
MoreVery delicious, food for all types of appetites. Great atmosphere with very spacious and pleasant patio. Will definitely be back for a 3rd time as I just went 2 times in the past month!!!
MoreEvery time I pass through Albuquerque I stop at this restaurant, whether its to dine in or to take food back to the hotel. They have a good variety of dishes and desserts. I don't drink alcohol but they can whip up a good alcohol free cocktail upon request. Atmosphere is a bit on the classier side and is more of a fine dining experience than a family restaurant. The construction makes it difficult to find parking.
MoreFood and service was wonderful ! So nice to go out again!
The new and improved Scalos. The food was absolutely fantastic.
Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5We came during happy hour on the bar side. Our service was excellent. I recommend for you to request Danielle. Quick, courteous, and knowledgeable. We had the spaghetti with pepper flakes, shrimp, peas, and white wine. I loved the homemade spaghetti. It's so perfect looking, it looks from box. But you can taste the difference. We also got the margherita pizza. Also delicious but could be a tad crisper on top. I would come here again if I came to Albuquerque in the future.
MoreThis is the 5th wine night we've been to and all have been excellent. Mate our server tonight was spectacular. I highly recommend!
MoreOutstanding customer service and very professional.
Brought my daughter to her first year at UNM (Go Lobos!). Our first time at Scalo was about a year ago, when we came to visit the school. I thought, "No place can be this good consistently " as we had a great dinner and even some entertainment (the wait staff physically removed a drunk patron... and it was hysterical!) .Our second visit (picture attached) did not have the same entertainment but did have the same great food, service and atmosphere. We are making this our go to restaurant when I come out to visit her at UNM... Thanks Scalo.
MoreBeen traveling in many states and eaten in many restaurants! Have to say the food and staff is simply amazing! Especially waiter Sam Moore who sets a very high bar for customer service! Five stars is particularly for him!
MoreI've heard this place was real expensive, on the contrary, I thought everything was reasonably priced. Money aside, the food was Amazing! I wanted seconds.. and I wanted to finish the leftovers on the table next to me!! All the staff members I talked to were exceptionally nice. Definitely coming back. You've earned yourself a regular!
MoreHost was a little cold upon checking in. Server was informative but didn’t smile once while serving us. Asked another girl what something was and she said “I don’t know, I’m not a server.” Just thought the customer service was a little cold. Ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with no tomatoes and it came with none of the other ingredients but chicken, which was gummy in texture so the girl took it back and remade it. It as better the second time but still lacking in flavor. I’ve had better fettuccine Alfredo at the Olive Garden. This place meh. Over rated. Nice view outside though.
MoreIt was really fun to sit on the patio and enjoy a meal. The butterfly effect drink was really cool as it changed colors when the lemon juice was poured in.
MorePlace was amazing! Pizza and pasta was delicious. Bloody Mary bar is a must. The service was excellent!
MoreLocated in Nob Hill, Scalo is a nice Italian place with their signature bloody Mary bar, which is what I got for a Sunday brunch. Not the most efficient setup, but building your own bloody Mary with as many toppings as you can skewer into your pretzel base (in hindsight using celery stalks would have been more structural supportive) was fun and novel. Pro tip: throw the shrimp cocktails directly into the bloody Mary to give you extra space to skewer things like fried chicken, short ribs, and onion rings above - if I had done this I would have had more fried chicken which was quite tasty!
MoreThe food was awesome - we had veal, the house made gnocchi and cocktails. Our waiter, Kelly, was charming and attentive. Thanks for a great evening!
MoreThey used to have such a great wine happy hour here. Decent food and nice company. The owner just couldn’t get his drug and alcohol problems under controls and this place finally closed down. I hope someone new can take it over and make it great again.
MoreThe bloody Mary bar is an unregulated mess. Not to mention once the waiter knows that you're going in the Bloody Mary bar he literally stops caring about you. After standing in line for an hour, finding that all the good food was taken by a handful of starving students, and returning to your table to try to actually order food, it was very difficult. Our waiter was nowhere to be found and we finally had to flag down someone else's waiter to get service. It's kind of a BS way to waste your Sunday. The actual food is good if you ever get to it.
MoreFood is amazing! Atmosphere and service is excellent as well!
